| Phase II of the project runs south from Rte 225 in Carlisle to Route 20 in Sudbury. For convenience here, it has been divided into pictures north, and south of the Concord river. Initial planning is underway by groups in Acton, Concord and Sudbury to help make this section a reality. | ||

| South of the Concord River, the right of way goes behind homes on Cottage Street, crossing Old Marlboro Road just to the west of the South Meadow Ridge housing complex. View looks south. | ||

|
After crossing a
small farm on the east side of Marlboro Road, the path goes by the
intersection of Williams Road with Old Marlboro Road. View looks north at the intersection. |
|
| After Williams Road, the route passes through some forested land and is then crossed over on a bridge by Powder Mill Road. Most of the remaining trail route into Sudbury is also quite heavily overgrown with forest. There are a few farms and homes nearby, and many homeowners have carved out their own paths for horseback riding and walking alongside the rail bed. |

A view, east along the MidState rail line at the 'crossing'.
The former Sudbury Crossing station which served both lines is to the right in the background. The building is presently occupied by AAA Limousine service. Ed Brown the owner of AAA Limousine, tells of trains arriving from Boston, many years ago with passengers to go blueberry picking for the day.

Looking west at the former Sudbury RR Station. The east-west rail is to the right, behind the building and the north-south line is in the background, behind the new green limousine shelter in this picture. The present building replaced a much larger Romanesque style structure that once existed just behind it.

Looking south from the crossing, the railroad crosses Rte 20 and goes behind Friendly's Ice Cream, located in the Sudbury Crossing shopping center. The Edgell Road intersection with Rte 20 is on the right.
