| The derailment that closed the line occurred here a few hundred yards south of Rte 20. The view on the right looks north. (Map) |
| This old signal tower is near the Sudbury-Framingham town boundary. |
| The surrounding land becomes more wooded, over the Framingham line, south to Water street. | ![]() |
| The Water Street rail crossing
looking south. There is vacant land in the back ground which might be available for parking. (Map) |
| Looking north from the Water Street
rail crossing. The Hemenway elementary
school is on the left.
Numerous children cross here safely on their way to and from school every day. |
| The former Nobscot post office at its new location, further west along Water St. The building was recently restored and moved from its former location alongside the rail line. |
| The tracks provide a convenient shortcut to the Nobscott shopping plaza from nearby homes to the south. This chair was (or still is) a convenient gathering spot for local teenagers. |
| Railroad mile markers are seen in this stretch between Water and Frost Streets. |
| Passing through a quiet
neighborhood at Frost St. (Map)
|
| Further south, looking south at
the Edgell Rd. crossing.
The town recently resurfaced the road and the rails in the background are obscured by underbrush. Edgell is a very busy road, most times of the day. (Map) |
| Looking south along the rail at the Belknap Rd. crossing. The tracks have since been removed from the road surface. (Map) |
| Grove St. is crossed by a bridge. |
| View looking back north from Rte 30 (Pleasant St.) shows the bridge over the Mass Turnpike. (Map) |
| View looking South across
Pleasant St. at the intersection with Sun Valley Dr. (Map) The vacant land in the background along the rail bed might be available for parking. |
| A closer view looking south at the Pleasant Street crossing,
towards a potential area for parking. The active rail from Framingham to Northboro is not far ahead. |
| A view west along the still active rail from Framingham to Nolrthboro, Mass. The rails to the right in the middle of this picture, lead north to Nobscott, and were formerly connected here. (Map) |
| Another view from Rte 9 looking west along the
active right of
way. The orange triangle sign in the above picture can just be seen
above the orange pole. The Jewell insurance building can be seen on the left. A second entrance to a potential parking lot, south of Pleasant St., might be available here, if it were possible to make use of land along the right hand side of this rail.

| Looking west on Rte 9 at the Framingham to Northboro, 'active' rail crossing. Temple St. is about half a mile ahead. (Map) |
